How we work

How CamTech Works

A straightforward path from first call to ongoing, proactive support. Four steps, no surprises, and a plan you can read before you sign anything.

Why the order matters

Most IT problems a new client brings us were caused by someone fixing symptoms without first understanding the system. A firewall bought to solve one incident, a backup nobody tested, a WiFi network extended one access point at a time. So before CamTech changes anything, we look at everything. The four steps below are how every engagement starts, whether the client wants a single repair or a fully managed plan.

Four steps, in order

Each one produces something you can hold: notes, a written plan, documentation, and then reports.

Consultation

We learn your business, your systems, and where things stand today.

Assessment

A clear plan covering security gaps, infrastructure, and priorities.

Onboarding

Systems set up, secured, and documented with minimal disruption.

Ongoing Support

Proactive monitoring and a team that answers when you need us.

Consultation

Step one: the consultation

The first conversation is about your business, not about technology. How many people work there, what they do all day, which systems they cannot work without, and what happens when one of them fails. We ask what your current IT arrangement looks like, what it costs, and what frustrates you about it. Most of this happens by phone or at your office, and it costs nothing.

By the end of it we know whether CamTech is a fit, and you know what working with us would look like. If the answer is that you need one firewall replaced and nothing else, we will say so.

Assessment

Step two: the assessment

The assessment is a written look at where your systems stand. An engineer inventories servers, workstations, network hardware, email, backups and the security tools already in place, and checks each against what a business of your size and industry needs. The result is a short plan: what is fine, what is a risk, what should change first and roughly what it costs.

For clinics and practices covered by HIPAA the assessment also covers the technical safeguards an auditor will ask about. For everyone else it usually surfaces the same three things: a backup that has never been restored, remote access that is less secure than people assume, and an email setup that lets too much through.

Onboarding

Step three: onboarding

Onboarding is where the plan becomes a working system, and it is scheduled around your business rather than ours. Monitoring agents go onto servers and workstations, security tools are deployed, backups are configured and then tested with a real restore, and remote access is set up so that support can happen without a site visit. Everything is documented: passwords, network layout, vendor accounts, licence renewals.

That documentation is yours. If you ever leave CamTech, you leave with a complete picture of your own systems, which is more than most businesses have when they arrive.

Ongoing support

Step four: ongoing support

Day to day, support means two things. The help desk, reachable by phone at (918) 893-9680 and by email at support@camtechmsp.com, for the things people notice: a printer, a password, a laptop that will not boot. And monitoring, for the things they do not: a disk filling up, a patch that failed, a backup that stopped, a login from somewhere it should not come from. Monitoring is what turns a late-night outage into a ticket we handled on Tuesday afternoon.

Support is sold three ways, and the level is yours to choose: hourly with no contract, a monthly block of hours at a set rate, or a fully managed plan where CamTech acts as your IT department. The tech support page explains the difference.
