Networking with CamTech
Slow, patchy networks cost more than the fix
Being connected is the whole job in today’s marketplace. When the WiFi drops in the conference room, a video call dies. When the warehouse has a dead zone, the scanner stops syncing and someone walks back to a desk. When the connection is slow, every person in the building loses a few minutes an hour and nobody writes it down. CamTech’s networking service exists to make the connection something your staff never think about.
That starts with design. A network is planned for the building it serves: walls, floors, the metal shelving in a warehouse, the number of devices on a Monday morning. Business-grade equipment is installed and configured, and where a single access point cannot cover the space, a multi-level mesh network is built so that there are no dead zones anywhere in the building.
Security is part of the design, not an add-on. Routers and firewalls are configured and locked down, guest WiFi is kept apart from the systems that matter, and the network is maintained so that an unforeseen problem is resolved quickly. There are threats to a business network its owner may never have heard of; the network CamTech builds is protected against them by default.
When it breaks
A network partner who answers the phone
When the WiFi is down, you should not have to stress about reaching someone. CamTech troubleshoots connectivity problems the same day, whether the fault is a failed switch, an internet provider outage or a misconfigured device. Where a provider is the cause, CamTech is a SonicWall partner and can design failover so that a second connection takes over when the first one drops.
Even the smallest issues get handled. If one device cannot join the network, or a printer keeps disappearing, that is a ticket, not a shrug.
What to expect
What a networking project looks like
A networking engagement usually begins with a symptom rather than a plan: the WiFi drops in one wing of the building, a new office is opening in six weeks, or an internet outage took the whole company offline for an afternoon. The first step is the same in each case. An engineer walks the building, maps what is installed, and measures where coverage actually reaches rather than where the last installer said it would.
From there the work is design, then installation, then documentation. Design decides how many access points, where the switches sit, how guest traffic is kept away from business systems, and whether a second internet connection is worth having. Installation is scheduled around your hours so that nobody loses a working day. Documentation means a network diagram, every password and every device recorded, so the next person who touches the network, from CamTech or anyone else, starts from a map rather than a guess.
Once it is built, the network becomes part of tech support. A dropped connection is a ticket, a new printer is a ticket, and the equipment is monitored so that a failing switch is replaced before it fails.
Networking questions
Can you fix WiFi dead zones in our building?
Yes. CamTech surveys the building and builds a multi-level mesh network with enough access points, in the right places, to cover every corner.
Do you install cabling?
CamTech handles network design and equipment installation, and coordinates structured cabling as part of a new office or expansion project.
What happens when our internet provider goes down?
A failover design with a second connection lets the network switch over automatically. Ask about it during the assessment if downtime would cost you money.
Should guests be on the same WiFi as staff?
No. A segmented network keeps guest devices away from your servers and workstations. CamTech sets this up as standard.
